Joe Lattanzi Boys State and Girls State Fund
Yes, it's almost upon us, and unfortunately we haven't fully reached our goal yet, so please continue to "talk it up" among your friends and business associates. Boys and Girls will be held from June 11th thru June 18th in Statesboro, and once again we're planning on sending 20 Boys and 20 Girls. We both need your help, now! Of course, any funds exceeding our needs will be held over until next year.
We have been in contact with Major Larry Moyers from Campbell HS and LCOL Gilbert from Osborne HS, who are the contact points for applications, and we thanked them both for their assistance.
Please consider making a donation to this worthwhile cause.

Campbell Student Leads Boys State
Campbell High School student Logan Krusac was selected as Governor of 2007 Georgia Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion. It teaches outstanding students about local, county, state, and executive government. From left are Johnny Blankenship (Lt. Gov.) and Campbell High School student Logan Krusac (Governor) at 2007 Georgia Boys State. During Boys State, students learn about the local, county, state, and executive branches of Georgia government. Boys State is a leadership program sponsored by the American Legion to train qualified male juniors about government. Delegates are selected based on outstanding leadership, scholarship, and character. Former delegates to Boys State and Boys Nation have included former President Bill Clinton, broadcaster Tom Brokaw, Vice-President Richard Cheney, basketball player Michael Jordan, astronaut Neil Armstrong, and former Georgia senator Sam Nunn. In addition to Boys State, Logan plays the violin with the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra and also attended the Georgia Governors Honors program.
